Alan Pink – FCA, CTA Consultant
Alan is one of the UK’s most experienced tax advisers and a well-known authority in all aspects of tax planning for owner managed businesses. Alan is editor of monthly bulletin ‘The Schmidt Tax Report’, as well as contributing extensively to industry news, including regular articles in Tax Insider.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Chartered Tax Adviser, Alan is one of the founding partners of APT. Alan has retired, but continues to write and undertake a limited amount of consultancy work for entrepreneurs, investors, and business decision makers.
Alan’s latest book “Practical Tax Planning for Business” published by Pink Proactive Publishing is now available, along with a selection of Tax Planning Special Reports.
Phil Dickinson Partner – Tax Consulting
Phil is the newest partner at APT and brings a wealth of experience in working with owner-managed businesses to realise their goals. He takes a holistic approach to advising clients – taking into account the personal objectives of business owners, the commercial realities and, of course, the ever-changing tax landscape.
Phil’s proactive approach and great technical knowledge means he is a perfect fit at APT.
In his spare time Phil enjoys live music, comedy and spending time with family and friends.
Paul Hyland – FCA Partner
Paul is a Chartered Accountant, with extensive experience in helping clients structure their businesses tax efficiently, as well as overseeing the preparation of accounts and tax returns. He has a huge wealth of tax knowledge and expertise, with a particular emphasis on family run businesses and large property portfolios.
When not working Paul plays and coaches in a local table tennis league, helps out at the local church and spends time supporting his childrens’ sporting endeavours which can involve extensive cross-country travel!
Alistair MacDonald – BSc(Hons), FCA, CTA, TEP Partner
A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser specialising in small to medium-sized businesses, Alistair’s experience includes tax consultancy for a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm and working on complex tax issues for mid to large corporations.
With a proven track record of operational excellence and delivery, Alistair enjoys technical challenges and is also qualified as a Trust and Estate Practitioner.
Alistair enjoys playing piano, guitar and fits in running when he can! He in involved in his sons’ local football teams and enjoys family walks and trips to West Wales.
Sarah Whyte – BA(Hons), ATT, CTA Partner
Sarah is a Chartered Tax Adviser with many years’ experience helping individuals and businesses manage their tax liabilities and ensuring that they remain compliant with the latest legislation.
Sarah believes that tax planning and mitigation should be at the forefront of accountancy services for SMEs and individuals, and that the best outcomes are achieved by clear communication and by building mutual trust.
Sarah also has extensive experience in dealing with the revenue in tax enquiries.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys working out at the nearby CrossFit gym, is an active member of her local book club and also enjoys long family walks with her 2 rescue dogs.
Russell White – FCCA, CTA Partner
Russell is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, with many years’ experience working with businesses from all sectors. He works closely with clients to manage their statutory obligations and is proactive in identifying opportunities and risks associated with the changing tax landscape, and the personal aims and circumstances of clients.
Russell enjoys running and cycling long distances in his spare time although nowadays weekends tend to be taken up with hiking with the dogs. He is also a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Vicky Barker – FCCA Client Manager
Vicky is a Chartered Certified Accountant and works alongside the partners to deliver accountancy and tax compliance services to our clients. Vicky has a background in industry and as well as dealing with statutory accounts she helps clients to implement digital accounting systems and supports them with their payroll needs.
I am a very keen Crossfitter, but when not lifting heavy weights, I like to spend time with the family’s many horses, dogs and guinea pigs.
David Sinclair – FCA Senior Manager
David is a Chartered Accountant and is a Senior Manager with many years of experience delivering accounting and tax compliance services to a range of clients. David works with the accounting team to support the partners and ensure that all client commitments are managed and fulfilled, and that high standards are upheld across the board. He brings a wealth of both management and accountancy experience to the firm.
In his spare time, David enjoys playing tennis, falling off his paddle board, terrifying both the children and the dogs with his clarinet playing and learning French with his younger daughter Madeleine. He also frequents his local church in Pembury.
Andreea Espley – FCCA Client Manager
Andreea is a Chartered Certified Accountant and has many years’ experience in practice. She works alongside the partners, delivering tax and accountancy services to clients across all sectors. She works closely with clients to ensure that all deadlines and statutory requirements are met.
When not in the office, Andreea likes travelling, spending time outdoors in the sun, reading and socialising with friends.
John Quartley – FCA Client Manager
John is a chartered accountant with many years’ experience both in industry and practice. He brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of accountancy and will be working with the partners to ensure that we continue to deliver the quality service that our clients expect, while the firm continues to grow.
John is a keen amateur photographer that he combines with his passions for walking in the beautiful Sussex countryside and watching motorsport
Donna Wozny Office Manager/PA/Receptionist
Donna has been PA to Alan Pink for many years and continues to support him in his consultancy role as well as reception duties and general administrative support to the team.
Donna likes to walk in her spare time and belongs to the local running club. She is also keen on gardening and interior design.
Gemma Knight Office Manager/Administrator/Payroll Clerk
Gemma’s role as office manager involves all aspects of the day-to-day running of the office, as well as payroll and company secretarial support for clients.
In her spare time Gemma is renovating her property. When not doing this she enjoys holidaying , reading and walking her three dogs.
Jana Zvackova Bookkeeper/Payroll
Jana supports the partners and accounting team with bookkeeping and payroll requirements and is currently studying for her accountancy qualifications.
In her spare time Jana enjoys a good book, swimming, and family walks with her young family.
